Great Junior High Season Comes to an End with 112 wins!
Launch the media gallery 1 playerRushville - Hemingford Junior High School kicked off the 2011 Wrestling season with a tourney at Rushville on November 3rd. Cooper Weber, Lee Jespersen, Jamie Wood, Denton Payne, and Matt Davis all won Championships in the tourney, with David Berg, Austin Huddle, and Tarin Jespersen just losing once. Overall the Cats were (25-6) in the tourney!
The Junior Cats are coached by Gordon Karney and Kyle Walker GREAT JOB WRESTLERS!
Hemingford - A good crowd was on hand to watch the home tourney. Denton Payne, David Berg and Austin Huddle were undefeated on the day, with Cooper Weber and Matt Davis each winning two and losing one each. Overall the Cats were (13-9) in the tourney! Thanks to all of the matt helpers, scorers, towel tappers, and parents who were able to help!
Chadron - Cooper Weber and Matt Davis led the way for the young Cats as they were undefeated. Austin Huddle, Lee Jespersen, Tarin Jespersen, and Denton Payne each had a single loss. Overall the Cats were (11-4) in the tourney!
Bridgeport has cancelled their JH Wrestling Tourney scheduled for Nov. 21st.
Alliance - Cooper Weber went (4-0) and Lee Jespersen went (3-0) to lead the team. Austin Huddle, Jamie Wood, Tarin Jespersen, and Matt Davis each lost just once, while winning two or three matches each. Overall the Cats were (19-8) in the tourney
Bayard - The competition was high at Bayard, as no Hemingford wrestlers went undefeated. Cooper Weber, Jamie Wood, Matt Davis, and Tanner Benge each lost just once, while each claimed either two or three victories. Overall the Cats were (11-14) in the tourney, their first losing record of the season.
Mitchell - The Mitchell Tourney was a GREAT way to end the 2011 season for the Junior Cats as five wrestlers went undefeated! Austin Huddle, Lee Jespersen, Jamie Wood, Matt Davis, and Tanner Benge all were Champs! Losing only one match were David Berg and Tarin Jespersen. The Young Cats won 111 matches on the season! Thanks to Mr. Karney for getting each week's results in so quickly so they could be shared on our web-page! Overall the Cats were (20-6) in their Final Tourney, and (112-55 ) for the 2011 Season!
