Hemingford FFA Attends Colt Conference
FFA officers attend Chapter Officer Leadership training.
By Gordon Karney
Two Hemingford FFA officers attended the annual Nebraska Chapter Officer Leadership Course (C.O.L.T.) held each year at the Nebraska FFA Foundation Leadership Center located in Aurora Ne.
The local chapter president, Tylor King, and the local Vice president, Tyler Olson, attended workshops designed to enhance their leadership skills and teach them the duties of their office. The camp also provides time for our officers to network with other officers from around the state and brainstorm ways to improve the Hemingford Chapter.
Officers not in attendance due to prior commitments were Kayla Golka (Chapter Historian), Brandon Roland (Chapter Reporter) and Andrea Michael (Chapter Secretary/Treasurer). TK and Frankie as the two like to be called both had fun and came up with some new and refreshing ideas to share with the rest of the chapter once school starts next year.
The next outing for the chapter officers will happen at the end of July (date determined by Harvest) when they will travel to Wyoming for the Hemingford Chapter Officer Retreat (a three day camping trip in the mountains) where they will outline chapter goals for next year, get to know each other and train to work as a team.
