Hello everyone.  My name is Michelle Osmotherly and I am going into my eleventh year of teaching 4th grade in Hemingford.  The past ten years has been a terrific experience for me and from those experiences I will build on to make another great year.

I was raised in Crawford, Nebraska and attended K-12 in the public school system.  While in high school I spent time in the Kindergarten room as an aid, as well as, a tutor for junior high and high school students.   After high school I went to Chadron State College to pursue my dream of being a teacher.  In May 2005, I graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree in Education. I am currently taking classes now working towards a masters degree in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in general education. If all goes as plan I will graduate with my Masters this spring.

I am married to my high school sweetheart, Ryan. He is also a teacher. He teaches Science at Crawford as well as responsible for many other duties, such as coaching. This summer we spent time golfing, remodeling the basement and landscaping our yard. We also went tubing down the Niobrara River, helped out with Vacation Bible School, and went to Kansas City for vacation. This year we did Worlds of Fun and a Royals game. Peyton went on her first "real" roller coaster and laughed the entire time. We also found time to attend Hills Alive, a Christian music festive in Rapid City. We got to enjoy music from groups such as Tenth Avenue North, For King and Country, and the well known Mercy Me. Peyton turned 7 this year and seems so grown up. She took swimming lessons and now is a little fish. She is reading and writing and doesn't need my help anymore. She is so independent. Kylee is 4. She is my busy body. She loves to help and be with you every second. She enjoys coloring and playing with her dolls. I'm so blessed to have these two.

I have two younger siblings, Michael and Melissa.  Michael is a fire fighter for McCook, NE and a flight for life EMT for Garden City, Kansas. He really enjoys it and keeps him busy. He had a baby girl last August on Peyton's birthday. Melissa, is like many women in this area, a wife to a farmer. She is busy chasing my three little nieces around. The twins are two and Lexi is starting kindergarten. I absolutely love cuddle/play time with them. My mother, Rhonda, has her own beauty shop in Crawford, and has enjoyed being a Grandma. My father, Stan, took early retirement from Quest, and after a year went back to work for Telecom and Century Link.span></

I enjoy doing many things with family.  I like to play and watch basketball and volleyball, as well as, go hiking and camping. Even though I am an adult I am really a kid at heart.  I also love to scrapbook and do remodeling projects.

My goals for this year are to increase the students' enthusiasm for school and learning, and provide them with the background to be confident individuals.  It is amazing what can be done when you believe in yourself.
