Mandy Plog Biography
Special Education Director
Mandy Plog
Hello! Welcome back to school! My name is Mandy Plog, and I am the Special Education Director for Hemingford Public Schools. I am also the High Ability Learner Coordinator and Title I Supervisor. I have been at Hemingford since the Fall of 1996.
I grew up in Oshkosh, Nebraska and graduated from Garden County High School in May of 1991. I attended Chadron State College, majoring in Elementary Education and Special Education. I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in May of 1996. I began teaching special education through the Educational Service Unit #12 located at that time in Alliance in the fall of 1996. They placed me full time at Hemingford High School. I taught 7th - 12th grades Special Education. The next year, Hemingford hired me directly to teach special education and a School-to-Work class to regular education Seniors. In May of 2003, I graduated with my Master's in Administration from Chadron State College. In the Fall of 2004, I began working as Special Education Director in addition to teaching. Beginning 2005-2006, I became Special Education Director full time.
I enjoy spending time with the five cutest boys in the world (one is my husband!) Mark is fourteen years old and in eigth grade this year. Alex is twelve years old and in seventh grade. Ethan is ten years old and in third grade this year. My youngest, Owen, is in 1st grade. My husband, Scott, works at Todd's Body Shop in Alliance, where we live.
My email address is mplog@hemingfordschools.org. My phone number at school is 487-3330. If you have any questions about special education or any other subject, please let me know. I don't have all the answers, but I might know where to look.
Please feel free to contact me anytime!
I look forward to hearing from you!
