Lady Cat Basketball 2014-2015
“We completed one of the most satisfying weeks in recent Lady Cat Basketball history with wins in the WTC tournament.  On Thursday in the first round at home we defeated the Bayard Tigers 70-24 to advance to the semi-final round at “Cougar Palace”.  In that game we were able to defeat a really good Gordon/Rushville team 64-50 with a strong effort on the defensive side of the court which led to some transition baskets.

The Mustangs are a much improved team that has size, athleticism and determination.  We won the championship game against Mitchell who had won the last two conference championships.  This was a great defensive effort down the stretch, again locking down in the fourth quarter in our man defense which again led to some opportunities to cut into an eight point deficit, and ultimately win by the score of 43-40.

That “Cougar Palace” atmosphere was very special with all the Hemingford Fans standing and urging our team on.  What a great night for the Lady Cats!  We would like to thank all of the supporters, either in the gym, or who were listening in on the radio.  Bobcat Nation is alive and well.”
