“On Saturday December 15 we concluded our Pre-Christmas schedule with a nice win against a long and athletic Leyton team. We found it very difficult to score on the inside against the shot blocking Warriors. Our Lady Cats did do a nice job on the defensive end of the court holding an opponent under thirty points for the second time this season. Kelsy Wood once again led our scoring and rebounding as well as the number of times being knocked to the floor.
She had 15 points and 12 rebounds completing the fourth double-double of the season. We did not do a very good job of shooting from the free throw line hitting only 10-28. That must improve if we hope to meet our goals for the season. Our team and coaching staff would like to recognize the wonderful crowd that provided such strong support for our team. We head into the Christmas break with a 3 wins and 3 losses.”

Kaitlyn Bergfield and Kelsy Wood led our team in rebounding with 12 each. Kelsy completed a double – double on the evening with 25 points to go along with her rebounding efforts. This was a great bounce-back win for us after dropping the first contest in Gordon. Our defense was much improved, and we did a nice job of running our press break.
