Painted Ladies are in Third Grade!
Each year the third grade raises Painted Lady Butterflies. This year's larvae arrived on April 18th. After constantly munching on the food shipped with them, the larvae formed into chrysalis in just six days. Each third grade class has 2 butterfly pavilions in their classroom. Once the chrysalis formed the teachers carefully placed them into the pavilions. The students are able to keep careful watch on the them as they wait patiently for the butterflies to emerge. Learning about the life cycle of the butterfly is an exciting project for the students.
Keep watching for the pictures as they emerge!
