The Hemingford Cross Country Team traveled to the Monument Shadows Golf Course in Gering on Friday, September 2.  In the Jr. High Division Kenny Wyland was the first runner in for the Bobcats at 20th with a time of 12:34.  He was followed closely by teammate John Ansley at 21st with a time of 12:37.

This being the first time that most of our Cross Country Boys Team at run, the boys all ran in the Novice race this week.  Our first runner in the Boys Novice Division was Jacob Clouse at 15th place with a time of 20:53.

We were pleased with all of the runners times for this first meet.  Some of them are still working to find their race pace and it may be another week or two before they do.

Our next meet will be in Kimball on Friday, September 9th, at the Kimball Four Winds Golf Course.  The Jr. High boys and girls will run at 1:00 p.m. They will be followed by the Girls Varsity Race at 1:30 p.m. and then the Boys Varsity Race at 2:00 p.m.  There are only three races this next week so all H.S. runners will be running in the Varsity races.
