What Is In There?
Spring is an exciting time for Hemingford third graders. On April 22nd Deb Kraenow from the UNL extension office brought chicken eggs to our class. The students dissected the eggs and learned all the parts of an egg.
On the 24th of April Mrs. Kraenow brought 27 eggs to the class. The students candled the eggs looking at the different parts they had learned.
Next the students learned the process of incubation and all the stages that occur during that time.
Finally the students under Mrs. Kraenow's direction set 27 eggs for incubation. Over the next month the students will be learning about embryology. The expected hatch day is the May 15th.
