“ This game turned out to be much closer than we had hoped heading into the contest. Our team played pretty good defense most of the night and we rebounded better than we had in our previous contests, turnovers and offensive execution continues to be a major issue however. We will likely see this team again later in the season at the PAC Tournament when we hope to do a better job of taking care of business. Our Junior Varsity team continued to play hard and won their contest 44-24 to move to 3-0 on the season. “
Hemingford lost to Mitchell at home on 12-10-11 by the score of 30-46
“ Our turnover issues caused us problems again in this contest against a pretty good Mitchell Team. The Tigers are quick at all five positions and really shot the ball well on this night. We got to the foul line eight more times than our opponent yet only shot at a 47% clip which will not win many games. The junior varsity team came up short as well, Hemingford 37 , Mitchell 57. Our schedule does not get any easier with a good Bridgeport coming to Hemingford on 12-16-11. We know our kids well enough to know that they will continue to work to improve on the season, and that is encouraging. “
