The Hemingford Girls Junior High Basketball Team ended their Undefeated 2011 Season by winning the PAC Tourney at Sioux County (Click to Enlarge Pic)

The first game in the tournament was against Sioux County and they just couldn’t handle our fast paced offense. Our girls were taller and were better prepared than the Warriors. The Bobcats totally dominated both offensively and defensively.

Quarters 21-0, 14-0, 14-0, 8-0 Final: 57-0

Faith Rorhbouck 4 Carli Cullan 2 Madi Hiemstra 6 Sydeny Riggs -0 Brooke Turek 2 Natalie Gasseling 10 Kaitlyn Kumpf 13 Mikayla Randolph 4 Taylor Keegan 2 Emily Hansen 8 Keelie Campbell 2 Ashley Agler 4

The Championship game against Crawford was much tougher. We started off not playing team ball and it showed. We tried to win the game in the first two quarters, instead of relaxing and playing our game. We settled down in the second half and played much better. Natalie, Keelie and Emily did a really good job of posting up and getting rebounds for points. We also had some nice assists from the guards, Brooke, Kaitlyn, Madi, and Faith. The girls are an awesome bunch of girls who are very coachable and fun to coach. A Super Season with a great finale!

Quarters: 3-6, 8-2, 10-6, 16-6 Final: 37-20

Madi Hiemstra 2 Brooke Turek 11 Natalie Gasseling 6 Kaitlyn Kumpf 5 Emily Hansen 11 Keelie Campbell 2

Both Red and White teams did very well this year, with the Whites finishing (8-1), and the Reds finishing an undefeated season at (9-0). All the girls from both squads contributed to the season's success and to the Conference Championship!
