RED Game

The first half of the game was all Bobcats. The girls were playing great defense, bothering the ball, and playing smart. The offense was slow at times and the girls weren't moving to their passes, but they were putting points on the board. The third quarter, the girls were still playing well and moving the ball around.

Fourth quarter the girls were getting tired and let up a little on defense. Crawford managed to tie the game up. We had 3 seconds left in the game with the ball under our basket. The coaches called time out to put in one last play and the girls ran it just like we asked. The result, Emily put the ball up for two at the buzzer for a team win. Brooke Turek was the point guard for most of the game and did very well seeing the court. Kaitlyn Kumpf played excellent defense, always looking for a steal. Madi Hiemstra and Faith Rohrbouck were great guards moving and passing the ball around. Natalie Gasseling and Emily Hansen posted up well and got off some nice shots.

Keelie Campbell and Mikayla Randolph worked hard on the low post to get some excellent rebounds. The girls did a great job for the first game of the season. Of course, there are things we need to work on, but the girls are looking good. Quarters: 9-2; 4-0; 8-10; 5-12 Final 26-24 Brooke T -6 Natalie G-11 Kaitlyn K-1 Emily H-6 Keelie C-

WHITE Game

The first game of two against Crawford was won by Hemingford. The girls came out strong by shooting well and limiting shots by the Rams. The girls did an excellent job on defense only allowing Crawford 2 points in the first half and 4 in the second. Members of the team are Danika Adam, Faith Rorbouck, Carli Cullan, Hannah Morgan, Brooke Galles, Sydney Riggs, Mikayla Randolph, Taylor Keegan, Ashley Agler, Kortney Frazee, Emily Hansen, and Makenna Wortham. We, as coach saw good moves by the girls and were very impressed for the first game of the season. Quarters: 9-2; 6-0; 8-0; 4-4 Final 27-6 Faith R-3 Carli C-8 Mikayla R-4 Taylor K-2 Ashley A-2 Kortney F-2 Emily H-6
