Boater Education - 6 Hour Class
|
Since January 1, 2004 , Nebraska law requires any motorboat operator (including personal watercraft) under 18 years of age must complete a Boating Safety Course and be in possession of a course certificate when operating the boat. You must be at least 14 years of age to operate a motorboat (including personal watercraft) in Nebraska. Classes are offered throughout the state. The course is a six-hour course (proctored exam) and you must have 75% to pass. Successful completion of boating safety courses certified or recognized by other states will be accepted for non-resident motorboat operators. Responsibility lies with the operator. All 9th grade students have the opportunity to take this class, at no cost, during their regularly scheduled physical education class from March 22 - 29, 2010. |
