Senior and Junior Livestock Judging Teams Qualify for State!
Hemingford FFA Places First at District Livestock Judging Contest
The Hemingford FFA Senior Livestock selection team out scored their closest competition by 13 points to win the district 12 FFA livestock selection contest, held in Kimball Nebraska on March 2, 2009.
Senior team members were Jodi Stangle, Taya Lembke, Kayla Golka and Tylor King. On an individual basis Jodi received second losing first by one point to Sage Henderson of Alliance. Taya Lembke placed fourth, Tylor King placed eighth and Kayla Golka placed ninth.
There were 27 individuals from 12 schools competing at the event. The junior livestock selection team consisting of Zane Jaramillo, Aaron Jesperson, Jose Campos, Casey Stangle, Andrea Michael and Tanner Lembke placed second. On an individual basis Zane finished second, Aaron placed fifth, Jose placed ninth, Casey placed twentieth, Andrea placed twenty ninth and Tanner placed thirty third.
There were 50 contestants from 12 schools competing at the event. These ten team members have qualified to compete at the state FFA Livestock Selection Contest in Lincoln, held during the Nebraska State FFA Convention on April 1st through the 3rd. Congratulations to these competitors.
