Basketball The Hemingford Boy's Basketball team used their first home game of the year to secure a thrilling 51-49 victory over the Leyton Warriors.  The Bobcats entered the half time break up 20-16 and saw their lead increase to as much as twelve points before Leyton mounted a late comeback, which the Bobcats thwarted with some clutch free throw shooting down the stretch.

The Bobcats were led in scoring by senior Anthony Adamson's 20 points, followed by Luke Moser's 11, Tyler Swanson's 9, Jake Long's 7, and Jordan Petersen and Chance Campbell with 2 apiece. Hemingford finished the night making 16-25 from the charity stripe including 9-16 in the 4th quarter.

Luke and Jake led us as we dominated the boards 27-16 with 8 rebounds each. Jordan chipped in with 7 boards, Anthony had 2 and Tyler and Trey Ramos each garnered one carom.

It is the first time all season that we've had all 13 players available and I was very pleased with our effort and ability to make plays at the end to finish the game.  We played tough man to man defense the whole game and really made Leyton work on the offensive end.

We look forward to a little break for the Holidays and we'll be back in action on Monday, December 29th against an undefeated Bayard Tiger team in the first round of the Mitchell Holiday Tournament. Tip off is scheduled for 2:15. We hope to see a large contingent of Bobcat fans cheering on both the boys and girls teams.
