The Jr. High girls basketball season has started out with a bang. The first game was at Crawford and the girls took control of the game from the jump ball. PK Campbell did a nice job as point guard setting up the offense and scoring 14 points. Kaitlyn Bergfield was super on defensive getting numerous steals and scoring 4 points. Dani Campbell used her height and skill to rebound and score 16 points. Mackensie Fernandes worked hard both offensively and defensively. Kayla Hanson played smart ball and did a great job defensively. Lexi Olson moved and passed well offensively. Cali Rohrbouck and Paige Phillips were in there boxing out and rebounding to help the team win 34-8.

Quarters were 6-2, 10-2, 6-2, 12-2 The second game at Crawford was more of a battle. Briley Hannaford took point in this game to set the team up and helped the team win with 17 points. The girls looked down court and inside for great passes. Jayleen Forgey, Kelsey Wood, and Kaitlyn Jespersen did a tremendous job as wings for offense and played a tough man defense on their girls. Kelsey scored 8 points , JJ scored 4, and Kaitlyn 2. Sammy Huss, Kristina Kramer, and Caralina Carlson were great at the post position to check out and get rebounds. Sammy scored 8 points, Kristina 4, and Caralina 2.

The girls played as a team and it showed on the court as well as on the scoreboard. Saturday, the girls played one and half games against Hay Springs. The girls played excellent defense and held Hay Springs scoreless until late in the 2nd quarter. Hay Springs was no match for our quick offense or our aggressive man-to-man defense. All the girls did a wonderful job on both sides of the ball. Briley had 18 points. Kelsey had 12, Kaitlyn B. had 6, Kaitlyn J 4, JJ 4, PK 4, Dani 2.

The quarters were 16-0, 14-4, 14-2, 6-2 for a final score of 50-8 The ½ game we also over powered them from the start. Kaitlyn J. had 6 points to lead the Bobcats with Kaitlyn B. 2, Paige Phillips 2, Caralina 2, and Alexis Phillips 2. The final was 14-8
