Hey, Bobcats!  I'm so excited to be a part of the Hemingford Schools family!  I have a deep passion for all of the Fine Arts and making them accessible to students of all ages.  I believe that learning comes alive when all of the senses are engaged, and that students can understand more about artists, their work, their purposes and the meaning of their creations when they get a picture of the culture and background the artist comes from.  In my classes, students will learn about a different artist each month, as well as the country they come from and the way the folk art, music, dance, geography, food and other cultural influences play a role in the individual artists perspective as they express themselves through their art.  We'll explore a wide variety of materials and mediums and discover how we can allow our own experiences and backgrounds to help us express our own emotions and beliefs.
