Life with Pat

by Pat Vogel

August 13, 2006

Greetings!! My name is Pat Vogel. I have been working for the Hemingford Public Schools since the 2nd Quarter on 2003. I spent the rest of that year and the next 2 years working as a Resource Aide/Para Educator. In the school year of 2005-2006 I then became a Teachers Aide for the whole Middle School 4th thru 6th grade. In 2006-2007 I was working as a Teachers Aide for just the 5th and 6th grade teachers. For the 2008-2009 school year I will also be driving Bus #99 to Berea full time along with being a Teachers Aide for Robyn Prochazka (6th Grade), Cindy Lanik and Dee Hannaford (Both 5th Grade). Now just a little bit about myself: I was born and raised in Hemingford, Nebraska and am still here! There is just something about our town that is just too good to leave for to long. My parents are Norman and Darlene Anderson of Hemingford. I have got 2 older brothers Dan Anderson of Hemingford, Hank Anderson living in Colorado. I also have an (OLDER!) twin sister Deb Jessee of Alliance.

I have been married to Rod Vogel, it will be going on 23 years in September. He is employed with BNSF in Alliance as a Mechanist. We have 4 boys, Seth 20, Mitch 17 (junior), Trae 13 (8th grade), and Rayce 10 (4rd grade). OH MY GOSH!!!! My how time flies!! This summer went by way to fast. I can't say that the Vogel boys stayed injury free all summer long this year. Just before we were to get out of school for the "Summer Break". My oldest "KID" (Rod) ended up breaking 8 ribs and fracturing 2 transverse processors in his back. He was showing the younger boys, "What NOT to do while riding a motorcycle." I was able to stayed way too busy this summer helping cover for Lynn Weldon who had to have surgery on her thumb. Which actually was a blessing with Rod being off of work almost "ALL" summer long. We were able to go to a few Motorcycle races. Rayce is doing very well in age 7-11 65cc class. If you don't know, motocross racing is one of the main things that the Vogel family does during the summertime. Mitch was also able to do the Demolation Derby for the first time this year. He ended up getting 2nd place in the Heavy Main and in the Mini Main bringing home a total of $1,550.00. WOW!! Not bad for his first demo. Other than that is was a "GREAT" summer. We do still have a few more motocycle races to go to 1 at the end of August and 4 in September. Well this is what I've been doing this summer! I will update when something new and exciting happens! TTFN Mrs. Pat
