Opportunity Waits

“Opportunities Await Us”, that was Mr. Nigen's beginning of the school year phrase last year. What a true statement for me. I’m Jeanette Chasek: last year was my first year as resource teacher at Hemingford Elementary. I hope it was as great of learning experience for my students as it was for me.
I received a bachelor degree at Chadron State College. After teaching in a couple of schools in South Dakota while teaching at some class one schools I returned to CSC to earn my masters degree.
When I’m not busy with school activities, my husband, Dale, and I try to go the some of the activities our 6 grandchildren are participating in such as rodeo, football, baseball, and musical programs. This is not as easy as one might think since their homes are in Mullen, Scottsbluff, and Torrington. I have been known on occasion to attempt to help Dale with some ranch work or accompany our daughters on a shopping spree.
