Welcome to my classroom on the web. I'm Linda Folkerts. I have a BS + 36 in Elementary Education, along with an associates degree in Early Childhood. This will be my 14th year at Hemingford, along with 41/2 years in country schools in Box Butte County.
My husband, Dennis, is a conductor for BNSF. We live 20 miles East of Hemingford, where Dennis continues to ranch.
Our family consists of Yours, Mine and Ours respectively:
Brandt, Lark and Barrett and Macy Schmall are living on Wibley Island in the state of Washington.
Shawn is a river ranger on the Green River in Utah and working on his graduate degree in river management.
Troy and Billi are in Fort Collins, CO. Troy is attending CSU to pursue a doctorate in medical research.
Brett and Erin are living and working in Kansas City, MO with our granddaughter Elizabeth Anne (Libby) and a new one on the way in April.
Wes was just married to Betsy Phillips from Axtell, NE on Sept. 5. They are making their home in Casper, WY. Wes works for Crescent Electric and Betsy is completing her social work degree.
Stephanie is in her fourth year at UNL in Lincoln, NE
Katee is a11th grader at Hemingford High School
A day in kindergarten will begin with Calendar Math.
As the day progresses you will find lots of reading, writing, phonics and guided reading, coupled with center time (A favorite of every Kindergartner.)
