Lisa's Lines

Welcome to Lisa's Line.  I have worked at the Hemingford Public Schools for 5 years.  I am a resource- aide and help out in the office as well.  I am a 1979 graduate of Alliance High School and attended Chadron State College.

I will be celebrating my 27th Wedding Anniversary this year with my wonderful, patient husband Bob.  We have two sons, Jordan, who is a Sophomore @ CSC and will be majoring in math education with a coaching endorsement in football and wrestling and Joe (aka JoeBob) who is a junior @ HHS.  His past activities have included football, wrestling, student council, and the most important of course would be academics.  He will also be traveling to Washington D C  this year with the Worldstrides group.  Our lives are fairly active, we are members of the Hemingford United Methodist Church, where Bob and I both teach Sunday School and co-sponsor the U M Y F, Bob also serves on the      School Board.  I am a volunteer EMT/Firefighter  and secretary/chaplain with the Hemingford Volunteer Firefighter's Association, I also manage the Hemingford Swimming Pool during the Summer months, where I am lovingly known as Boss Haas. Both of my sons work @ the pool too, so we have made it a real family affair.  I will again be able to combine my pool work and my school work for the third year as I will be assisting Mrs. Giorgi with P E @ the pool for first through ninth grade and our Cottonwood students too.  This is one of the most rewarding aspects of both of my jobs.

My parents have recently moved to Hemingford to enjoy their retirement, but we keep them pretty busy taking in all of the community activities, and following their grandson's endeavors.  I also get to have lunch with them everyday during the school year, and it is still nice to be able to unload to your mom and dad about the mean little nine-year-old at school. Did I mention also that they fix lunch for me everyday.  Yes I am spoiled and I am enjoying it.

The 2007-2008 school year will be challenging and exciting.

I enjoy working with both elementary and high school students and staff in my position. Each day promises a new adventure as I will be on a resource-aide rotation and will be working with pre-school to seniors.  I love variety and diversity, so I feel like I'm in the right place.

    Thanks for checking in.
