It's Salad Bar Time!

Students and Staff flocked in large numbers to the salad bar offered beginning today (October 24th) at lunch. For grades 7-12 and faculty initially, the salad bar provides free seconds as well as choices of fruit, green salad with five different dressings, cucumbers, grated cheese, chicken and ham, cottage cheese, jello, potato salad, as well as many other toppings, bread, pudding, and milk.
As part of a renewed emphasis on offering healthy choices at lunchtime, the salad bar will continue to offer fresh salad on a daily basis at the same cost as a regular meal.
In 2005-06 a school breakfast was offered, and with the new salad bar offering, the highly successful lunch program at Hemingford Public Schools continues to thrive. Thanks to Nancy Yardley and the Kitchen staff for making this all possible!

| 11/01/2006 | All of my kids love salad I hope that it will be open all ages someday or maybe as seconds after eating all of there food. I seen more 7-12 graders today in the lunch room then ever before. |
