After finishing high school in Alliance in 1994 I attended college at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling Colorado, I earned my Associates of Science degree in the spring of 1996. I then attended Chadron State College from 1996 to 2000. In the spring of 2000 I received my bachelors of science degree in Biology and Chemistry education. I completed my natural science endorsement in the spring of 2007. After graduation I spent two years working full time on the ranch and substitute teaching in Hemingford, Alliance, and at District 131 north of Ellsworth. After those years I took my first full time teaching position in Hyannis. While at Hyannis I taught 8th grade Earth science, 9th grade physical science, chemistry, physics, life skills, geography, and was the junior high P.E. coach. Along with all of those classes I was an assistant high school volleyball, hs girls basketball, head jr. high volleyball and track coach. With all of these responsibilities I decided I needed a change and then started looking for a new job. “When the opening came up in Hemingford I just had to apply so that I could slow down a bit.” I have been in Hemingford since 2003 teaching advanced sciences.
Recently I have switched coaching assignments and I am now helping with Jr. High Football and co coach Golf.
At the start of the 2010-2011 School year I have expanded my teaching role to include a new class called Chemistry II which is offered to those students who would like to continue into college in a science related field including but not limited to pre-medicine, lab sciences, or an advanced ag degree where science is the main subject
