August 02, 2010

High School:  Webster SD

Bachlors and Masters:  Northern State University, Aberdeen SD

ED Specialist:  Wayne State College, Wayne NE

After graduation from high school in Webster, SD which is located in the north eastern corner of the state, I packed my bags and headed for Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD.  After about 4 years of school including summers, I finally graduated with degrees in Office Administration and Business Education.   I started working on my Master's Degree in Administration, which I completed in 1999.  I loved the 12 years teaching business and computer.  I know it forced me into the computer world which keeps changing; just like kids.  My career as an administrator began in the eastern part of Nebraska.

It’s been a great six years since I moved to Hemingford.  The landscape which I love has allowed me to spend numerous hours out walking.  I also really enjoy the sunshine without humidity and bugs.  Part of the reason for moving to Hemingford was to be closer to family.  Since then other members of the family have moved this direction.

I was recently married to Ron Foster, the elementary principal at Hemingford.  We like to spend time in the Black Hills walking the different paths in Custer State Park.

In my down time or when it is cold out, I love reading and watching movies.  Golf is another activity that I enjoy playing; if one can ever say they frustration is fun.   For now my golf is more of an enjoyable walk.   Little known fact is that I love purses and shoes and can spend hours wandering through stores--looking without buying.
