    66th Annual HHS Alumni Reunion


    What: 66th Annual HHS Alumni Banquet

    Who: Honored Classes – 1938, 1948, 1958, 1968, 1978, 1988, 1998, 2008, 2018

    When: Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 5:30 PM

    Where: The Body Shop  (703 Box Butte Ave  Hemingford)

    Cost: $25/person

    Photos: A photographer will be on hand at the banquet to take pictures of the honored classes. They are offering a 5x7 picture for $10

    Meyring and Jespersen are Individual Champions !

    On March 7th the Hemingford FFA traveled to Kimball to compete in the last round of the district 12 Career Development Event competitions before the state competition in Lincoln in April. Our students competed in the senior livestock selection and Agronomy contests.

    The senior livestock selection team consisting of Jayce Meyring, Jack Payne, Miles Davis, Jake Sellman and Nevis Swires placed first with Jayce Meyring winning the individual district champion and Jack Payne coming in as the runner up. Miles Davis placed with a blue ribbon and Jake Sellman and Nevin Swires received white ribbons.

    The Agronomy team consisting of Storm Jespersen, Luke Cullan, Brian Turek and Dali DelToro placed third with Storm Jespersen winning the individual district champion and Luke Cullan placing fourth followed by Brian Turek and Anna Manning receiving white ribbons.

    Special thanks go out to Shauna Meyring for her work coaching the Senior Livestock Selection to the district championship!

    Eleven Selected from HHS !

    Tuesday March 6th, eleven gifted musicians from Hemingford High School will travel to Kimball to take part in a day of extra work on instrumental music.

    The 2018 Western Trails Selections are Madison Glendy, Rebecca Hanson, Kylie Mendiola, Mercedes Mazanec, Hunter Stevens, Landrie Nelson, Jacob Clouse, Gregory Randolph, Gabe Brown, Joe Mazanec, and John Ansley

    A massed concert will be held at Kimball High School at 5PM.

    Congratulations again to these eleven musicians! They are taught by Ms. Sara Schmidt.

    On Wednesday February, 21st the Hemingford FFA chapter hosted an Ag Olympics for the 7th through 12th graders. The event consisted of a series of competitions that all classes could participate in.

    The competitions included bale racing, hot dog eating contest, piggy back barrel racing, hula hoop roping, tote bag race, the chicken toss, and the Miss and Mister Redneck contest.

    Most students enjoyed participating in the competitions and others contributed by cheering their classmates on.
