Nurse Judy's Health Notes
by Judy Stewart
Judy Stewart grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1977. She worked at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in Intensive Care to start her career. Love and marriage brought her to Alliance, Nebraska.
In 1983, an opening in school nursing became available at ESU #12 in Alliance. In 1998, she was hired by Hemingford Public Schools and was christened with the name “Nurse Judy”. In 1999, the American Nurses Credentialing Center granted her board certification in School Nursing.
Nurse Judy and her husband have 3 children.
She loves to teach children about health and considers it very important because healthy children learn better. Her photo states her passion for teaching children about the importance of 3 servings of milk each day and eating lots of fruits and vegetables.
This year she can be reached in the health office via her DIRECT LINE ....487-SICK (7425). Parents, students and patrons are encouraged to call if they have questions or would like assistance with health related concerns.
