2010 6th Grade Digital Stories
by Gina Benda
Most of the students in the sixth grade class have finished working on a Digital Story. For this project the students wrote a narrative story in their Language Arts class. They learned the importance of a good introduction, story body and a strong conclusion. When their narration was proofed, rewritten and the final copy was made they were ready to create a digital story using pictures the students created, scanned, or found in clip art. They learned about picture order and timing. They learned how to add expression to their recorded narration to enhance their audience. They learned how music can make all the difference in the mood of the story. The Digital Story project was a big project. It was challenging to all. Some really liked the challenge others were a bit overwhelmed but all of them enjoyed the final production.
We hope you enjoy watching the Digital Stories.
