Course Descriptions
*English 11 will focus on persuasive writing in preparation for the State Writing Assessment in February 2010. We will emphasize American Literature, novels, vocabulary, grammar, spelling, speaking, other forms of writing, research skills, and thinking.
*English 9 will introduce students to high school English with emphasis on basic, intermediate, and advanced skills in reading, writing, speaking, and thinking. We will sample a variety of literary styles from around the world.
*English 8 will focus on descriptive writing in preparation for the State Writing Assessment in February 2010. We will develop basic English skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening throughout the year.
