Cindy and I celebrated our twenty-eighth wedding anniversary this summer.  We have two children who are both married.  Our son is Nate, who is currently a teacher/coach in the Alliance Public Schools and his wife is the former Jenny Nason of Alliance.  Jenny is now a kindergarten teacher in the Hemingford system. They reside in Alliance.  Our daughter is Lindsey, who recently graduated from Chadron State College and is a teacher/coach at Emerson-Hubbard Public Schools.  Her husband is Jeff Burback who is in the insurance business in Iowa. They reside in Sioux City.

In my spare time, I like to golf and play cards.  I have even been known to take a few trips to Grand Island for the horse races during the summer months.

I think education is a very challenging profession these days.  There are more and more guidelines for the students and teachers which results in more and more paperwork for everyone.  Fortunately, I feel our students are very capable and positive.  We live in a great community with great kids and that makes teaching rewarding.
