I am originally from Gordon where I was born and raised. I attended country school for my grade school years, where I graduated from the 8th grade at a formal ceremony at Valentine Middle School. I then attended Gordon High School where I graduated in 1997. During my high school days I participated in volleyball, basketball and track al l for four years each. Sports were and continue to be an important part of my life. After graduation from high school I then attended Chadron State College where I graduated in December of 2002. I have a bachelor of science in Mathematics education with coaching endorsements in volleyball, basketball, track and softball/baseball.
I am the oldest of three siblings I have a younger sister, Kendra who is 26 and is married to Lindsey Bixby. They recently added to their family with a little boy Layne O'Ryan who was born on July 14th. I also have a younger brother, Ross who is 23, and is currently living in Sidney working in the corporate offices at Cabala's. My parents continue to live east of Gordon where my dad works for a local farmer and my mom does various odd jobs for people and is also employed at one of the local grocery store.
This is my second teaching job, five years ago I taught at Our Lady of Lourdes in Porcupine, South Dakota where I taught sixth, seventh and eighth grade math and eighth grade science. It was very much a learning experience, one that I will have to compare other jobs to.
For my hobbies I enjoy various types of activities in the summer I enjoy water-skiing and boating. I also have an addiction to the X-Bo and PSP, playing all sorts of sporting games and lifting weights and working out daily.
During this past summer I kept busy mowing lawns in Alliance and still trying to work out as much as was possible. I also recently bought a mobile home and moved it into Hemingford so I won't have to be driving as much.
