Title I Parent Notification
Annual Parent Notification of Right to Inquire About
Teacher and Paraprofessional Qualifications
Title I funds support supplemental educational services to our students.
Parent involvement is an important part of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act. There are several parent communication requirements for schools that receive Title I funds. One requirement is Title I schools must notify parents that they may request information regarding the professional qualifications of their student’s classroom teachers. Information regarding the professional qualifications of our teachers is available by contacting the superintendent. The information you receive includes the baccalaureate degree and academic major of the teacher, any graduate degrees or certifications, and the type of teaching license held by your child’s teacher. Hemingford does not employ any Title I paraprofessionals, but if we did, and your child was provided specific services by paraprofessionals, you would also be able to inquire about their qualifications.
We know we have a high quality instructional staff at our school and we are proud to share this information with you at your request. We hope you will help us foster strong parent involvement and communication at our school!
Parents who are interested in the professional qualifications of their child’s teacher may request this information by contacting the superintendent in writing. This information will be provided to parents in a timely manner and at no charge.
