HEMINGFORD CULINARY STUDENTS COMPETE
Weber and Neefe Qualify for State Contest
A team of two Culinary Arts students from Hemingford and a three student team from Scottsbluff will be heading to Lincoln in April after receiving the highest marks as the Scottsbluff FCCLA chapter hosted the District 12 Culinary Competition Wednesday.
Two schools were entered in the competition, with three teams from Hemingford competing and two teams from Scottsbluff.
HHS students Cooper Weber and Taylee Neefe, taught by Mrs. Suzanne Neefe, are the students qualifying from Hemingford.
Students in the timed competition are judged in areas of safety and appearance, team organization, food production, taste and preparation
The students prepared a menu of Spinach Salad Chicken Piccata, Glazed Carrots Orzo with Basil, and Lady Fingers with Mascarpone and Orange.
