NeSA Scores Continue to be Strong at District 10
Hemingford Students Do Well Again
Nebraska State Accountability Test Scores
Hemingford Outscores State in Fourteen of Seventeen NeSA Areas.
Mr. Ron Foster, District 10 Director of Curriculum and Instructional Services, had more great news to share with patrons and parents of students attending classes in Hemingford on the heels earlier this week of news about our outstanding ACT test scores:
“Students in Hemingford Public Schools continue to show understanding and growth in reading, math, and science according to the 2015 Nebraska State Accountability scores that were released”, according to Foster. “Testing in the state takes place in Reading, Math, and Science. Students in 3rd grade through 8th grade and 11th are tested in Reading and Math. Science is tested at grades 5, 8, and 11”.
Foster also reported that: “In looking at the results Hemingford students scored higher than the state average in 14 of the 17 testing score possibilities. We definitely see a lot of bright spots in the results to celebrate and some areas that we will continue to work on”.
What does all of the data mean? It allows our school to carefully look at the results for areas of strengths, weaknesses, and trends over time. The study of data is something that our school continually does to push our students and staff to reach their fullest potential. We want to be the leaders in education.” Said Foster.
Specific scores and test results will soon be released. Great Job District 10 Students!
