Third Graders Field Trip 2015
May 13, 2015 was an exciting day for the Hemingford third graders. After the bell rang the students boarded the bus to travel to Scottsbluff for a visit to Troop E of the Nebraska State Patrol. The students listened carefully as they were told about the different departments within the state patrol. Students learned about the polygraph machine, investigation of different crimes and how important the dispatcher's job is. Students watched a K-9 officer use his partner to sniff out and locate hidden objects. The students were able to see some of the gear that the swat team uses, look in the patrol car, and even see and hear a flash bang explode.
The classes then traveled to a nice park to enjoy lunch and have a little play time before the long ride back to Hemingford. A wonderful way to enjoy learning some new things.
