FFA DISTRICT TEAM CHAMPIONS
Asa Carlson is Individual Champion
On March 4th the Hemingford FFA Agronomy team consisting of Asa Carlson, Colt Foster, Cole Walters, Ethan Skinner and Brady Turek won first place the district 12 agronomy contest. The students competed in three areas. They placed second in the written test, second in the team problem and first in plant, insect, disease and equipment ID. Individually Asa Carlson was the district champion, Cole Walters and Colt Foster tied for 3rd place, Ethan Skinner tied for 4th place and Brady Turek placed 5th.
The team qualified for and will compete in the state contest on April 9th in Lincoln. The junior livestock selection team consisting of Miles Davis, Madison Davis, Anna Manning and Sydney Riggs placed 8th out of 12 teams.
This was pretty good considering they had never judged before. We look forward to these members doing much better over the next four years.
