HHS Golfers Head to Districts at Sutherland
D-5 Meet on May 19th
The Hemingford Linksters seem to be peaking just at the right time heading into districts. Three of the top six golfers achieved personal bests for the year following our last competition in Morrill at the Panhandle Conference Tournament. Tyler Huddle has had quite the senior season, getting his first eagle on number 7 in Bridgeport, as he putt one in from 20 feet or so off the green, and then getting his first ever birdie the following tournament on number 4 in Morrill. He has also posted at least 4 of his career best finishes with an 89 and 96 at Morrill, a 102 in Alliance, and a 104 in Bridgeport.
Other than Tyler, we are a very young team. Jacob Horstman has brought home some hardware by medaling in Alliance, Chadron, and Panhandle Conference. Both Jacob and Tyler hope to continue their year after the District Tournament that will be held in Sutherland on May 19th by placing in the top 10 to qualify for the State Tournament at Kearney Country Club.
With Josh, Lee and Robert playing their best golf as of lately, the Bobcats look to defend their District Title from last year’s history-setting performance.
