2013 HHS Senior Elk's Club Scholarship Winners: Carolina Carlson, Kelsy Wood, Jayleen Forgey, Kyle Kumpf, Kaitlyn Jespersen, Kayla Hansen, and Kristina Kramer (Please click on Pic to enlarge)Seven Hemingford High School Seniors were scholarship award winners at the annual Alliance Elk’s Club Academic Recognition Night. Most Valuable Student Awards went to Kelsy Wood ($900); Kyle Kumpf ($600), and Kaitlyn Jespersen ($500).
In addition Elk’s Club Scholarships went to HHS Seniors Kayla Hansen, ($1,300); Kristina Kramer ($600); Jayleen Forgey ($500); Carolina Carlson ($500); Kelsy Wood ($500); and Kyle Kumpf ($500).
The awards totaled almost $6,000 for the Hemingford Students. The Elk’s Club has been awarding scholarships to students in area schools for decades.
These awards as well as many others will be formally presented for members of a Hemingford audience on 2013 Honor’s Night, this year held Tuesday, May 14th at 6PM in the High School Gym. Mrs. Ramona Hucke, school Guidance Counselor, will make these special presentations then, instead of during commencement exercises.
