FCCLA members Help Prevent Bullying!
Recently Hemingford students Taylee Neefe and Allie Mekolon presented a "Stop the Violence: Bullying 101", power point and skit to the 7th through 12th grade students of Hemingford High School. Their presentation was about what bullying is and how to prevent it.
They also had a group of FCCLA members help out and perform skits about cyber, physical and verbal bullying so the students knew exactly what each type of bullying was. After the presentation the students broke up into their advocate groups and made “Stop The Bullying” posters in which everyone signed their name to pledge to prevent bullying.
This presentation is part of their FCCLA STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) project. Taylee and Allie also competed with their project, "National Programs in Action" at the district STAR contest held in Hemingford just last week.
