Fine, Fine Details
SCALE BUILDING PROJECTS
The seventh grade math class at Hemingford Junior – Senior High School has been busy with a building project as part of their studies in true scale. Mrs. Cindy Ahrens teaches the class, which includes members:
Ashley Agler, Michael Ashing, David Berg, Carli Cullan, Beau Edwards, Hadley Elder, Kortney Frazee, Brooke Galles, Natalie Gasseling, Emily Hansen, Jacob Hollinrake, Austin Huddle, Tarin Jespersen, Kaitlyn Kumpf, Jonathan Meyer, Allison Mekolon, Joshua Milne, Hannah Morgan, Taylee Neefe, Denton Payne, Mikayla Randolph, Sydney Riggs, Faith Rohrbouck, Justin Schekall, Peyton Sutphen, Brooke Turek, Rayce Vogel, Sheyenne Weaver, Austin Wobig, and Jameson Wood.

The students constructed a wide variety of building projects, all the way from barns, buildings, chairs, closets, bridges, kitchen appliances, windmills, trebuchets, football fields, granaries, and a shaded back deck.

A closet complete with scaled clothes!

Mrs. Ahrens also keeps a select few projects each year from classes that have moved on. Stop in sometime and take a look!

The rock sides look real.

One would need very small coins – but what detail!

The rustic look with real barn siding.

Great job

The seventh graders all learned a little bit about building, drawing up plans, and following their projects to completion!
