Hemingford FFA Members Place 3rd and 7th in District Competition
Lembke, Irene, and Horstman Lead the Way
On Wednesday January 11 nine members of the Hemingford FFA traveled to Scottsbluff to compete in the district Welding and Livestock management contests. The welding team consisting of Tanner Lembke (Oxyacetylene), Kipp Irene (Arc) and Brady Horstman (Mig) placed third out of eleven teams with Tanner placing second and Kipp Placing third. Brady Horstman, who had to deal with a defective welder, placed seventh. The livestock management team consisting of Caleb Milne, Matt Davis, Jordan Glendy, Casey Stangle, Cash Weber and Daniel Manning placed seventh out of thirteen teams. The next competition for the FFA will be on February 7th when we will travel to Gordon to compete in the Farm and Ranch Management and Ag Mechanics competition.
