Maintenance Position Available

As of Thursday, April 29th, 2010, this position has been filled. Any new applications received will be saved for future needs.

An opening for maintenance worker exists at Hemingford Public School. Specific information follows for the FULL-TIME  position.

The job requires an able-bodied, energetic  person that can comfortably lift 60 LBs, get along with others, and maintain and upgrade school facilities. Experience in carpentry, equipment operation (tractor, etc),  welding, electrical, plumbing, masonry, grounds care, minor building repairs, snow removal, and other maintenance related duties will all enhance the successful candidates’ chances for this position.

Also enhancing the successful candidates’ application will be their ability to be a positive, professional part of our system. Getting along with others and energetically completing duties assigned by members of the school administration will be paramount.

  • Anticipated date of Opening: May 1st , 2010.
  • Anticipated hours per week: 40
  • Daily Schedule: Hours TBA, Mon.-Fri.
  • Anticipated Beginning salary: $11.20
  • Paid Holidays, Vacation, and Sick Leave
  • Partial Paid Health Insurance is available if desired
  • Position is part of the Nebraska State Retirement program
  • Certification will be required in Certain Areas

If possible, a one to two week paid period of adjustment is planned, so the new maintenance worker can work alongside the retiring worker, allowing duties and responsibilities to be acquired.
