Hemingford FCCLA Chapter Takes 13 to District Star Competition:
On January 24, 2007, the District 15 STAR competition was held in Sidney, NE. Hemingford took 13 students to participate in this competition. The results are as followed:
- State Qualifiers: Tasha Moss and Ashley McCoy took a Gold and will represent our district at State in the category Health and Wellness. Gina Jespersen received a gold in Job Interview and will also be representing our district at State in April.
- Other Gold medalist include: Ashley Yardley and Michaela Fastnacht who received gold in Health and Wellness.
- Silver medalists: Taylor Jespersen and Gina Jespersen in Illustrated talk; Megan Roland and Alanna Wacker in Illustrated talk
- Bronze medalists: Katie Hughart and Allison Ludlow in Family Challenges and Issues; Taylor Jespersen in Career Investigation.
Hemingford also has five candidates who will be competing for district officer for next year. They are Taylor Jespersen, Gina Jespersen, Megan Roland, Josie Fletcher, and Teonna Schleicher.
