After the safety sessions the students were treated to a puppet show and a petting zoo containing everything from lambs to lamas. The event was sponsored and presented by members of the Hemingford FFA Chapter. According to FFA advisor Gordon Karney “Our goal is to make it each summer without any major farm accidents.

The farm safety day is good in two ways. It teaches safety to the elementary students and it gets the older students thinking about safety by presenting the sessions.”
