2007-2008 Skip'n Cats

Thirty Level 1 Skip'n Cats joined thirteen Level 2 Cats to form the 2007-2008 Skip'n Cats Rope Skipping Team.  Level 2 practice started in October 2007 with 5 students completing the Level 2 requirements in time to help teach the Level 1 students who just started in January.  In order to reach Level 2 status, 16 tricks must be mastered forward and backward along with a 5 trick routine.  Congratulations to:  Cooper Weber, Natalie Gasseling, Carli Cullan, Rebecca Stone and Makayla Grumbles!  They join:  Hannah Fessler, Amelia Ludlow, Bethany Moss, Paige Phillips, Aubrey Picket-Pin and Cali Rohrbouck who have already completed Level 2.  Kaitlyn Bergfield and Alexis Phillips have reached Level 3 by mastering an additional 19 tricks, including double dutch, a single compulsory routine and a 10 trick routine of their own.

Skip'n Cats Rope Skipping Team meets on Wednesday mornings at 7:45 in the elementary gym and is open to any 2nd - 12th grader.  Level 2 meets also on Tuesday mornings.  Benefits to participants include:  

A. Intellectual/Attitudinal Growth- classroom attitude, sportsmanship, keeping up work in classroom.
B. Physical- exercise, improved cardiovascular endurance, coordination.
C. Poise- interaction with others, perform in front of an audience.
D. Working with others- partners, groups, adults.
