Educational preparation - colleges, universities, degrees:
- Working on my masters degree from Chadron State College in Curriculum Instruction in Career and Technical education.
- Bachelor of science degree from Chadron State College in Family and Consumer Sciences 7-12 education with a second endorsement in Health education.
- Received my high school diploma from Bennett Co. High School in Martin, SD
- In June of 2008, I was honored as the 2008 Teacher of the year for Family and Consumer Sciences Teachers of Nebraska who have taught in Nebraska for under five years.
Educational experience:
- Years of teaching experience- Six years.
- Schools taught at: Highland High School in Riverside, Iowa (2002-2003). Hemingford High School (2004 to present)
Responsibilities:
- Family and Consumer Sciences teacher, FCCLA sponsor, and 10th grade sponsor.
Family history:
- I grew up in Martin, SD. I have been married for ten years and have three children. My husband's name is John and I have three children: Taylee, age 9 and attends 4th grade, Rashell, age 6 and attends 1st grade, and Alex, age 5, attends Kindergarden. We have two dogs (Calli and Orea) and one cat named Tinker. We own a home in Alliance.
Hobbies and interests:
- While not in school, I like to go shopping, enjoy doing crafts and hanging out with my family (playing games, going camping and boating).. I also enjoy reading, surfing the internet, photography, and renting movies. I like Mexican, Chinese, and Italian food. One of my favorite memories is seeing my babies for the first time. My favorite movie is “A Knight's Tale”. I enjoy a variety of music (just no rap or heavy metal).
