Student Council Highlights – Score board in memory of Edmund J Roes and cleaned up the county fair grounds. They raffled off three crash helmets to help pay for a new trophy case.
Student Council Members – President – Dave Engel, VP – Virginia Cullan, Secretary – Carol Wood, Treasure – Don Jespersen; Seniors – Tom Golka, Sandy Smith; Juniors - ; Sophomores – Caren Schekall, Marty Kuhn; Frosh – Casey Brost, Sherri Laeger
National Honor Society Members –
Music Department – The marching band performed at all home football games, the concert band, and the pep band were all directed by Mrs. Joan Longmore. Mr.Frank Brigham directed the vocal music, a select choir, and mixed chorus.
Drama and One Acts – "Oliver Twist" presented by the Dramatics Club.
Football – Coach Paul Zelenka and his players suffered through 7 consecutive losses and ended the year with the only win.
Volleyball – A 10-4 record ended the season for Coach Duane Knaub and his players.
Cross Country – The first year team of five coached by Mr. Mike Vahrenkamp.
Girls Basketball –
Boys Basketball – Coach Steve Reisig led his inexperienced players through a tough conference for a 1-14 record.
Wrestling – HHS grapplers split the season with a 6-6 record under the direction of Coach Larry Schnell.
Girls Track and Field – Coach Duane Knaub led the team that set four school records.
Boys Track and Field – Two team victories, three new school records, and the qualification of Dave Engel for state were the highlights for this team and their Coach Paul Zelenka.
Golf –Twelve golfers swung though the year under the leadership of Coach Steve Reisig.
