Ash Hollow Field Trip

Dear Parents,

The Middle School students will be going on a field trip to Ash Hollow next Monday, September 25^th. Your child will need a sack lunch for this field trip. In their sack lunches we ask that each student bring only one pop to drink, NO larger than 20 ounces. They may bring juice and/or water in addition to their pop, as well has healthy snacks to eat on the way home. PLEASE DO NOT send candy or gum. We also discourage snack items that have chocolate in them. (They tend to melt and can be messy.)

We will be leaving school at approximately 8:30. We will NOT be returning until about 5:30 or 6:00 that evening. Since we will be returning after the buses have run, you will need to pick up your child at the approximate time or make previous arrangements for your child.

Each student should dress appropriately. Each student should wear pants/jeans (NO Crop pants) and good walking shoes. There is the possibility of snakes in the area. SANDALS are NOT to be worn. They should also bring a jacket for the weather. If the student does NOT come dressed appropriately for the field trip he/she will NOT be allowed to go with us.

The students will not need large amounts of money to spend on souvenirs. There is only one place where there are items for sale, and the items for purchase consist of books and postcards. $2.00-$3.00 would be more than enough for your child to bring.

Just as a reminder that the students are NOT allowed to bring cell phones on the field trip. If you need to contact them or they need to contact you for any reason we will have a bus cell and Mrs. Lanik's cell. Those number are - bus: 308-760-3677 Mrs. Lanik: 308-760-2508
