It's Almost Time!
As a way to start welcoming students and staff back to our school, some of the many building and grounds improvements are pictures and listed below. The summer maintenance crew of Marv Spath, Lynn Weldon, Sandy Haas, Karla Mapes, Becky Jones, Trace Armstrong, Brian Reed, and Christy Ningen, who filled in for Becky when she was injured, have done their usual superb job of cleaning, painting, and caring for our buildings and grounds.
There is new carpeting in three classrooms; a new sidewalk on the west edge of the high school, new paint on the high school lockers, some beautiful new flowerbeds and landscaping in front of all four buildings, along with some additional lettering to help visitors find us!
A new discus and shot put ring have been added near the football field, some disconnected hallway fan-coil units have been removed, and the floors are so shiny you can see yourself in them! Every classroom underwent a deep cleaning, from ceiling to floor. Every window, every shade, every desk and chair, and every wall has been scrubbed clean. The bus parking curbs are being re-painted, and the visitor’s bleachers at the football field will also have a new coat of paint. The grounds and our buildings are a huge investment for our patrons, and they have been kept up to protect that investment as well as to add to the beauty of the community of Hemingford. Be sure an tell all of these hardy summer maintenance people thanks!
